Although Chapala is still considered a village by its people, according to history, Chapala became a city in 1970. Over the years, we have witnessed the changes and updates that our town has undergone. Centro Laguna Mall is one of them.
Architectural innovations, both modern and technological, are taking place all along the Chapala riverfront, every day it is common to see new constructions and how the city is changing around us.
One of the most outstanding features and one of the main reasons why people visit Chapala is because of its shopping mall, which offers a wide variety of activities to do, either just to spend time or to go shopping.
In Chapala, specifically in the San Antonio area, a few years ago a shopping center was built, called “Centro Laguna”, new in its kind for the Chapala Lakeside, which brought modernity to this part of the city.
Located on the Chapala – Ajijic highway, and in the same way connected to the beltway, it has an excellent location, being very accessible by car, public transportation, bicycle, or walking if you live near the area.
Inside Centro Laguna Shopping Center, we can find a great variety of different types of stores; bars, a well known sports store, a call center, a movie theater, which was a novelty at the time for bringing the 3D cinema to La Ribera, a large fast food area and a casino, among many other things.
Centro Laguna, is an excellent place to spend an afternoon or evening and I am sure that residents and visitors agree, as it has a great variety of activities to do, one of my favorite pastimes is to watch a movie at the cinema, followed by complementing my evening with a drink in one of its bars.
